PARIS (WCMH) — Diver Maycey Vieta may not have won an Olympic medal in Paris but she is coming home with an engagement ring.
The Gahanna Lincoln grad got engaged to American diver Greg Duncan in Paris following the conclusion of their respective Olympic competitions.
Vieta, who represented Puerto Rico at the games, competed in the women’s 10 meter platform, while Duncan made the final of the men’s 3m synchronized springboard competition.
The pair met as junior divers and began dating eight years ago. Both recently graduated from Purdue and made their Olympic debuts in Paris.
