COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The Paris Olympics are here and with hundreds of events taking place over two weeks, it can be hard to know where to watch your favorite sports, athletes, and teams.
Since 1988, NBC has been the exclusive American broadcaster of the summer Olympics, and NBC4 will be the home to Paris 2024 coverage throughout the next two weeks. In addition to live daytime and afternoon coverage, NBC4 will have the best highlights in primetime and late night throughout the games.
Outside of NBC4, NBC-owned streaming platform Peacock will carry every event in full as well as offer alternative ways to watch the games. Multiple NBC Universal cable channels will also broadcast Olympic action live. Here is what to know about Paris Olympics television coverage.
NBC4
The Paris games will offer the most live coverage and programming on NBC4 than any other Olympics before. With a six-hour time difference between the City of Light and Ohio’s capital, NBC4 will be showing at least nine hours of daytime coverage every day of the Olympics, including live finals coverage of swimming, gymnastics and track and field.
NBC4’s Olympic coverage will begin on Friday with the Opening Ceremony live at 1:30 p.m. The first day of competition will be Saturday, starting at 5 a.m. with the women’s synchronized 3-meter springboard final in diving.
NBC4 Today morning anchor Matt Barnes will be reporting live from Paris throughout the games. NBC4’s primetime Olympic coverage will consist of three hours of the best highlights of the day’s competition with a daily late-night as well.
Peacock
The only place to watch every Olympic event live will be on the streaming platform Peacock, which is owned by NBC and not NBC4’s parent company Nexstar. To watch live events, you can purchase either a premium plan ($5.99/month or $59.99/year) or premium plus ($11.99/month or $119.99/year), which provides access to NBC4 newscasts and the ability to download Olympic events to watch offline.
Once you’ve made an account, the top bar on the homepage will have categories. Select the Olympics category.

On the Olympics homepage, there will be a running list of live events as well as categories to see sport-specific schedules or access the Peacock-exclusive broadcast offers. For the Peacock-exclusive broadcast options, scroll down and click “More Ways to Watch.”
Among the unique viewing experiences include a Multiview of the top events with commentary, highlights with Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg, and “GoldZone”, a live whip-around show that will bring all the day’s events and key moments live. GoldZone will be hosted by NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson.

NBC Universal Channels
USA Network: USA has become a de-facto channel for NBC Sports coverage after “NBC Sports Network” was shut down. USA will provide live Olympics coverage daily and be the home for many live events, including American team sports matches, swimming qualifying, and more.
