COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — After a medal-filled and action-packed Saturday, the key Sunday of the Paris Olympics produced one of the greatest days in sports history.

On this ninth day of the XXXIII Olympiad, Noah Lyles was declared the fastest man in the world by the slimmest of margins in the 100m, becoming the first American to win the event in 20 years.

Novak Djokovic cemented his legacy as the greatest tennis player ever after capturing his first Olympic singles gold medal, becoming the fifth tennis player to capture the Golden Slam. Scottie Scheffler shot a remarkable 62 to charge up the field and win Olympic gold for Team USA and continue arguably one of the greatest seasons ever for a golfer.

Elsewhere, Team USA beat the Australians for golds in swimming on the final day, Sunisa Lee captured a bronze in the uneven bars, and we saw shoot-offs in archery and skeet shooting.
