COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The Columbus Division of Police’s underwater search and rescue team has stopped search efforts in a retention pond on Lazelle Road after someone reported a bag had been tossed in.

The witness told NBC4 she was working outside when saw another woman pull up to the water with something in a bag, get out, throw it in the water, and speed away. She said she saw something moving in the bag.

Police have not said if they have found anything, and called off the search Sunday evening. The scene is in the 500 block of Lazelle Road.
