COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A water main break and power outage has led to all elective surgeries being canceled Tuesday at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center.

Around 10:50pm Monday, crews responded to a water main break on the corner of Sixth and Town Streets. There was also a power outage at the Surgical and Heart Center of the hospital complex.

As of 4pm Tuesday, the power outage has been resolved. Power is restored to Grant, including the medical office building at 340 East Town Street.

The hospital is no longer diverting trauma and emergency patients. Elective surgeries will resume as scheduled on Wednesday.

The hospital says it was still able to care for its current inpatient population through the power outage.Keep checking NBC4i.com for real-time updates on this story. To get alerts for breaking news, grab the free NBC4 News App for iPhone or Android. You can also sign up for email alerts.
