BEXLEY (WCMH)–Bexley Mayor Ben Kessler is warning parents after a man reportedly tried to lure a young girl into his car on Sunday.

Kessler said on his Facebook page that a driver in another car witnessed this, and asked the suspect to leave. The suspect was reportedly in a white car, in the area of Powell and Roosevelt.

Kessler is asking anyone with information to call Bexley police at (614) 559-4444, and is also encouraging the witness vehicle to come forward.

“Please remind your kids to avoid interaction with strangers and to run from danger, and many thanks to the other driver for helping to intervene,” he wrote. “Stay safe Bexley.”
