COLUMBUS (WCMH) — One person has been pronounced dead after a reported stabbing on Fairwood Avenue.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 10am, Friday, officers were called to the 1200 block of Fairwood Avenue on the report of a stabbing or cutting.

One person, a white male in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, there was a fight at the residence between two men, and one of them fatally stabbed the other and ran from the scene.

Later, 27-year-old Nicholas Loulakis was taken into custody in Hillsboro on a different incident and according to officers, confessed to the fatal stabbing.

Police continue to investigate.
