COLUMBUS (WCMH) – The man found guilty of killing an Ohio State student and a Columbus City engineer in a head-on collision was sentenced to 13 years in prison.

Terrance Trent, 63, was found guilty of two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide for the deaths of Stephanie Fibelkorn and Bill Lewis and two counts of vehicular assault for a crash with a school bus on Dec. 12, 2014. Prosecutors said Trent was driving more than 60 miles per hour when he collided head-on with the school bus.

Before his sentencing today, Trent suggested in a letter that a judge’s immortal soul could be in danger if he chose to send him to prison. Trent said he is sorry about the ‘tragic chain of events’ that led to the deaths of Lewis and Fibelkorn. He also maintains that everything he said on the stand during the trial was true and that everything his ex-girlfriend said was a lie.  Trent must now serve 13 years behind bars and he may no longer hold a drivers license.What others are clicking on:
