GRAHAM, WA (WCMH) — A man is dead after being shot by deputies in Washington after running towards them with a running chainsaw.

According to KOMO, at about 7:15am, Tuesday, a woman called 911 and said her 36-year-old son was trying to break into their home, while armed with a chainsaw.

The woman told dispatchers the son refused to leave and said that deputies would have to shoot him.

When deputies arrived on scene, the man reportedly told his parents, “I love you. Goodbye.”

Deputies used a Taser on the man, but he got back after falling to the ground and charged the officers with the running chainsaw.

Deputies shot the suspect who died from his injuries.

KOMO reports the family said the man was a methamphetamine user and had a violent history. His parents said he feared the mafia was watching him from outer space.
