COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Christopher Pelloski, the former head of pediatric oncology at Ohio State served a year in prison after prosecutors said he was accessing child pornography. Once he was out, he tried to get his license back.

“While the things that I saw were disturbing, I never have and never would want to do those things to anyone,” Pelloski said before the State of Ohio  Medical Board. “But some of those things that I saw were done to me as a little boy.”

Pelloski may have served his time in prison, but he will likely never practice medicine again in Ohio. The state medical board permanently revoked his medical license.

The State of Ohio Medical Board is the organization keeping an eye on your doctor.

According to the medical board’s most recent annual report, 199 disciplinary sanctions and 92 citations were issued against Ohio doctors. That number was up from the year before, but similar to the numbers reported in the 2014 annual report.

The state licenses around 67,000 doctors, therapists and counselors.
