COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A man is in stable condition after he says he was confronted by an unknown masked male and shot in the forehead.
Police were dispatched to the area of South Hague Avenue and Palmetto Street for the report of a shooting just before 3am Wednesday morning. Officers found an unknown man suffering from a gunshot wound to the forehead.
Columbus Police say they’re not sure what kind of firearm was used in the assault or exactly where it took place. They say they found the victim in the area of South Hague Avenue and Palmetto Street and they believe the assault took place somewhere in that area.
The unidentified victim was transported to Mount Carmel West in stable condition. There was no information immediately available about the possible suspect.
CPD’s Assault Squad is investigating the incident.
