MARTHA’S VINEYARD, MA (WCMH) — President Obama kicked off his vacation at Martha’s Vineyard this weekend by hitting the links.
In the process, Mr. Obama reportedly reached a new milestone Sunday: His 300th round of golf as president. The unofficial count was compiled by a network correspondent and White House historian.
Still, that’s just a drop in the bucket compared to some past presidents. Dwight Eisenhower is said to have played 800 rounds in office, and Woodrow Wilson reportedly played 1,200 rounds of golf over the course of his presidency.
As he reaches the end of his term, the president is finally revealing his golf handicap. Mr. Obama tells the Golf Channel he’s an “honest 13.”
