CANFIELD, OH (WCMH) — An Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper is recovering after he was injured when his cruiser was hit by a truck during a traffic crash investigation.
According to the OHSP, the Canfield Post Trooper’s cruiser was struck by a commercial truck while he was investigating a crash.
The trooper suffered minor injuries but was transported to an area hospital.
“This is the type of crash that can be prevented by Ohio’s move over law. Cautiously shift over one lane – or slow down if changing lanes is not possible – when passing any vehicle with flashing lights on the side of a road,” the OSHP reminded people in a Facebook post.

“The next time you see an emergency vehicle parked by the road, think of the potential consequences for staying in your lane. Moving over isn’t just following the law. It’s showing you care about the safety of roadway workers!” the post finished.What others are clicking on:
