COLUMBUS (WCMH) – The first ever PromoWest Fest has officially started in downtown Columbus.

Nearly 40 local and national acts will take the stage over the three-day festival at McFerson Commons.

“Flaming Lips is (Friday night). Snoop is on (Saturday) and then we close it out with Brand New and Modest Mouse on Sunday,” says PromoWest Productions Marketing Director Marissa Luther.

Other national acts like LL Cool J and Garbage are also on the list. Local acts include The Worn Flints, Red Wanting Blue, Way Yes, Forest and the Evergreens and Nick D’ & the Believers. There are three stages and nearly 70 vendors, even a Craft Beer Village.

Day passes are still available at $79 a pop at the Nationwide Arena Box Office. Gates open at 1 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.What others are clicking on:
