COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Officials with Columbus Recreation and Parks are investigating a report of a razor blade found in a piece of playground equipment at Maynard and Summit Park.

According to a Columbus Recreation and Parks spokesperson, they were notified that a resident found and removed a razor blade from the park.

Park officials say they inspected the area near Summit Street and Maynard Avenue, and did not find anything.

The playgrounds are inspected on a regular basis and according to officials this report is not a common incident.

Park officials ask anyone who sees suspicious activity to call the Columbus Division of Police.

Columbus Police say they have no reports of any injuries associated with any razor blades at Columbus parks.What others are clicking on:
