LONDON, OH (WCMH) — A toddler fighting cancer crossed another item off her bucket list on Saturday: attend her prom.

Two-year-old Shiann Lockhart has faced many hardships in her young life, but Saturday’s festivities inside a church gave her a reason to dance and her parents and family something to smile at.

The prom was one of the two biggest things on her list, according to Shiann’s mom, Cora Lockhart. The other big event on the list is her wedding, as Cora says, “so daddy can walk her down the aisle.”

Shiann was born with multiple heart defects and had a heart transplant at five weeks old. This March, Lockhart said, Shiann was diagnosed with a form of lymphoma that sometimes occurs in transplant patients.
