COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Investigators are hopeful new tips will lead to solving a hit-skip death outside of a north Columbus night club.

Columbus police were called out to the Spain Nightclub, at 6143 Busch Boulevard just east of Worthington, at about 2:30am on April 10. Witnesses told police a person has been struck by a vehicle after a fight.

Police and medics found Dimas Lemus seriously injured as a result of the crash. He was rushed to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition and was diagnosed with a severe brain injury. About two weeks later, he died as a result of his injuries.

Witnesses describe the suspect vehicle as a late-90s-to-early-2000s model silver Honda Civic. The vehicle fled the scene after striking the victim. No description of a possible suspect has been released.
