REYNOLDSBURG, OH (WCMH)–A babysitter accused of giving an 8-month-old a fatal dose of Benadryl was indicted on Friday.

Lori Conley, 43, was arrested last week. She was charged Friday with one count of involuntary manslaughter, one count of endangering children, and one count of tampering with evidence.

She faces “in excess of 10 years in prison,” according to Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien.

Conley allegedly gave the baby two adult Benadryl pills to put him to sleep on May 13. Seven other children were in the home and were unharmed.

“Adults should never give medication or drugs of any kind to children without the approval of the child’s family doctor,” O’Brien said.

Conley will be arraigned on June 15.What others are clicking on:
