HILLIARD, OH (WCMH) – The Franklin County DUI Task Force is planning a checkpoint Friday night in Hilliard.

The checkpoint will run from 9pm Friday until 1:30am Saturday in the area of Cemetery Road and Lacon Road in the City of Hilliard.

The task force last conducted a checkpoint in Gahanna along Hamilton Road on May 13. During that checkpoint, one DUI arrest was made and 12 other citations were issued.

The task force, which includes the central Ohio law enforcement agencies, Franklin County agencies and MADD, encourage those who will be consuming alcohol to plan for a designated driver or make other arrangements.

Sobriety checkpoints are legal in Ohio as long as public notice is given that the checkpoint will be established.What others are clicking on:
