COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Jury selection started Monday in the murder trial of 17-year-old Jordyn D. Wade, charged in connection with a June 2015 quadruple homicide in South Linden.

Wade faces eight counts of aggravated murder, eight counts of murder as well as counts of kidnapping, aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery.

Robert Lee Adams Jr., 27, was also indicted last August on charges related to the same murders.

According to police, Adams robbed and shot five people at the residence in the 1600 block of E. Hudson Street on June 13. Four of the five people shot died as a result of their injuries.

The fifth victim, a teenage girl, survived and will be a key witness for the prosecution.

Police say Wade and Adams ordered the victims to the basement before the shooting. Prosecutors say Wade stood at the top of the basement stairs with his gun drawn while Adams shot the victims.

Police identified the victims as Angela D. Harrison, 35; Tyajah Nelson, 18; Daniel Sharp, 36; and Michael Ballour, 41.

Police arrested Wade almost immediately after the homicides. Adams was arrested two months later at a home in Mississippi.

Wade’s is not a death penalty case because he was a juvenile at the time of the crime. What others are clicking on:
