COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Back in February, Ohio State Auditor Dave Yost was one of the first Republicans to join the anti-Trump train. So where does he stand today now that Donald Trump is the presumptive GOP nominee?

According to a Facebook post made to his personal page, it appears his stance hasn’t changed.

My concern has never been just the Trump positions I disagree with — that’s part of politics — it’s the evidence that points to an utter lack of principled convictions… with Mr. Trump, it’s not a disagreement on an issue or two, but that there seems to be little or no foundation.”

And he’s not the only Republican who isn’t uniting around Donald Trump, including Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan who told CNN Thursday he won’t endorse Trump.

There’s also US Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska, who was also was among the first to announce he was “breaking ranks” and not supporting Trump in the general election. Today, he still says he won’t give Trump his endorsement. He even takes it one step further, calling for another candidate to throw their hat into the ring to give America another choice.

With Clinton and Trump, the fix is in. Heads, they win; tails, you lose. Why are we confined to these two terrible options? This is America. If both choices stink, we reject them and go bigger. That’s what we do.”
