COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — It was another busy day at the Paris Olympics as we crowned more medalists across the city of light and the Americans broke medal droughts in multiple sports.

Track & Field was headlined by Lakewood, Ohio native Katie Moon’s silver in the pole vault along with Quincy Hall’s unreal gold medal in the 400m and Kenneth Rooks’ upset silver in the steeplechase final.

USA men’s water polo won an exciting shoot-out to make its first Olympic semifinals since 2008 while Americans in multiple sports broke long medal droughts in rare sports. Medals in wrestling, weightlifting, track cycling, and artistic swimming were among the most notable for Team USA on day 12.
