COLUMBUS (WCMH)– NBC4 asked for voter feedback Tuesday to learn if anyone was experiencing any problems when they went to cast their vote.
There was a complaint regarding privacy after a Madison County voter alleged that two high school volunteers were looking at his completed ballot at his Plain City polling location.
“It is your right to vote and have it completely anonymous. It’s nobody’s business what you filled in on that ballot,” explained Jeff Licke.
Licke said he reported his alleged issue to the Madison County Board of Elections. An employee there said the matter would be addressed appropriately.
In Upper Arlington there was some confusion at a polling location a out accessibility to the voting machines.
Poll workers said for the last 10 years voting took place near the auditorium in Upper Arlington High School.
However for this primary The voting machines were placed in the school gym. People arriving to vote had some issues finding the new location.
“I was out there directing people back there , we put up extra signage.
The elderly and those who needed a wheelchair or had a stroller had to enter the school from a different way.
I mean we’ve had senior citizens and stuff like that. You know they complained about the walk understandably.” explained Jason Corner , a poll worker.
