COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Some central Ohio families are getting free Thanksgiving dinner thanks to St. Vincent Family Services.

The meals are all premade from Bob Evans, and any family with children who receive care from St. Vincent, a pediatric healthcare provider, were eligible to receive one. All the families needed to do to enjoy the Thanksgiving meal is heat up the turkey and fixings. Around 60 families were able to drive through and pick up a meal that serves up to eight people.

“Times are hard,” said Susan Lewis Kaylor, CEO of St. Vincent. “A lot of our families are struggling financially and every little bit of help matters, so this Thanksgiving box is really right on time for most of us.”

St. Vincent provides the meals for families every year. The pediatric healthcare provider also has a foster care program, a school and counseling.
