COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – From dazzling productions of Disney on Ice, country music star Kelsea Ballerini performing in Columbus, to events at the Columbus Metropolitan Library celebrating Black History Month, here are things to see and do this weekend in central Ohio.

Disney On Ice: Frozen & Encanto

Nationwide Arena, Jan. 30 – Feb. 2

For the first time, Disney On Ice invites families to step inside the magical adventures of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen and Disney Animation’s Encanto. Audiences will be able to watch their fan favorites while experiencing the magic of Disney at Nationwide Arena. Tickets are on sale now.

Authors at the Library

Columbus Metropolitan Library, Jan. 31 at 10 a.m.

  • Meet with authors you love and up-and-coming authors working in a wide variety of genres. You’ll get first looks at new books and just might discover your next favorite author. This week’s event features author Amber McBride.

Ohio State men’s ice hockey

Value City Arena, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m.

  • Ohio State will face Michigan State in a home matchup at Value City Arena.

Short North Gallery Hop

N. High St., Feb. 1 from 4 to 8 p.m.

  • Experience the best of art and culture at Gallery Hop. Explore a dynamic mix of galleries showcasing local and national artists, enjoy street performances and discover unique shops and dining experiences.

Black History Month activities

Columbus Metropolitan Library, starting Feb. 1

  • Columbus Metropolitan Library will celebrate Black History Month with engaging and interactive programs in February. The first events kick off Feb. 1 at the Reynoldsburg Branch at 1402 Brice Rd. at 11 a.m. and the Whetstone Branch at 3903 N. High St. at 2 p.m.

Kelsea Ballerini

Schottenstein Center, Feb 1 at 7 p.m.

  • Grammy-nominated country music star Kelsea Ballerini is making a stop in Columbus, as part of her live tour across the U.S. Her special guests include Sasha Alex Sloan and MaRynn Taylor. Tickets are still available.

Groundhog Day with Buckeye Chuck

Marion County Fairgrounds, Feb. 2 starting at 7 a.m.

  • Ohio’s official weather forecasting groundhog, Buckeye Chuck will poke out of his burrow and meet fans at a live in-person celebration at the Marion County Fairgrounds Colosseum.

Columbus Reptile Expo

330 Refugee Rd., Feb. 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Check out a variety of live reptiles from pythons and corn snakes, to sand boas, frogs and much more. Guests can visit vendors and engage in educational activities.
