COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Meet Freida! She is a 5-year-old pit bull mix and she’s up for adoption at the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center.

Freida first came to the shelter as a stray in December, after someone found her tied to a pole. According to Becca Moser, behavior coordinator, Frida is super sweet and is very food motivated.

“Very treat motivated, food is definitely the way to her heart,” Moser said. “She will eat any treats and is not picky.”

Along with her love for food, she also loves playing with toys. While she runs around and pounces on squeaky toys, she also enjoys relaxing and is described as a “couch potato.” She loves to curl up in blankets on the couch and will get cozy.

Freida would be a good dog for a first time owner, according to Moser. She also loves playing with other dogs as well. She walks well on a leash, she is trainable and is good with kids and seniors.

Freida is available for meet and greets at the Franklin County Dog Shelter, which is located at 4340 Tamarack Blvd. Below are some additional adoptable dogs at the shelter:
