WHITEHALL, Ohio (WCMH) — East Broad Street is getting a new Chick-fil-A, Whitehall officials confirmed.
The fast food restaurant will replace a former Tim Hortons at 3965 E. Broad St. Whitehall Chief Building Official and Zoning Administrator Don Day confirmed that Chick-fil-A will be joining the city, although he did not provide other details.
Online property records indicate the chicken chain will rent the space from commercial real estate company Casto, which owns the commercial center Chick-fil-A will sit in. The center is also home to a Goodwill and Target.
A Chick-fil-A representative said they were unable to confirm any future locations in Whitehall, although they hope to serve the community in the future. With Whitehall’s confirmation still standing, this may indicate how early in the process the location is.
The site of the future Chick-fil-A has been harder to visit in recent months thanks to ongoing construction on Broad Street. It has been undergoing construction that has limited lane access and temporarily blocked some parking lots at and around the former Tim Hortons. The project is part of $13.2 million of capital improvements.
This will mark the 17th Chick-fil-A within the greater Columbus area.
