COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A county music star’s upcoming tour and a Taylor Swift tribute show are among three more concerts announced for this year’s Ohio State Fair.
The Ohio Expo Center announced on Wednesday that Trace Adkins will perform at the fair on Aug. 2 as part of his “What Color’s Your Wild Tour,” alongside up-and-coming country music singer Alex Miller. Adkins began his career in country music nearly three decades ago selling more than 11 million albums, while earning numerous awards and Grammy Award nominations.
Tickets for Adkins’ performance go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
Swifties are welcome to the fair on July 27 for the free “Let’s Sing Taylor,” an unofficial live tribute show celebrating Taylor Swift. The expo center said the show has been bringing “the communal experience of celebrating Taylor’s music in a live setting to fans near and far.”
Sixteen Candles, boasted as the nation’s premier ’80s pop experience, will take to the stage for a free show on the fair’s senior day on July 29. Entertaining audiences since 2003, Sixteen Candles travels the country bringing ’80s music to life in full force for a memorable and exciting concert experience.
Admission to Let’s Sing Taylor and Sixteen Candles are included with admission to the fair. Learn more about ticketing information here.
The Ohio State Fair will run from July 23 to Aug. 3 and traditionally includes one show each night at the Celeste Center. The expo center said a final paid show will be announced in the coming weeks. Watch a previous NBC4 report on the Ohio State Fair’s concerts in the video player above.
