A representative from the Ross County Coroner’s Office said a woman’s body found south of Chillicothe on Friday suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head.

Officials have not released the identification of the woman, but said the wounds to the head as the initial cause of death.

Ross County deputies found the body Friday in a creek off of Trego Creek Road.

Over the last year, three women have been reported missing by the Chillicothe Police Department.

A gathering was held in Strawser Park Saturday morning in support of the missing women.
