COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A man has died after a shooting near a gas station on the northeast side of Columbus Thursday night.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened on the 3300 block of Cleveland Avenue at approximately 8:10 p.m.

The victim was taken to a local hospital before succumbing to their injuries.

Police said a suspect is in custody. Law enforcement officials taped off the Sunoco station and parking lot at 3317 Cleveland Avenue on Thursday night as the scene was investigated.
