LAKE RIDGE, VA (WCMH) — A Virginia police officer injured in a shooting has died, the Prince William County Police Department announced.

According to the department’s Facebook page, Officer Ashley Guindon has died as a result of injuries she sustained in a shooting in northern Virginia on Saturday evening.

Officials were called out on a report of a domestic-related shooting in the 13000 block of Lashmere Court in Woodbridge.

In total, three officers had been shot in the investigation. The conditions of the other two officers are not known at this time.

Police said a suspect is in custody. No other names have been released.

According to the department, Guindon was sworn in on Friday.

Officials are gathering more information as the shooting remains under investigation.
