COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Just as things are starting to look a lot more wintry around central Ohio, an outdoor ice rink is returning to downtown Columbus.
It’s all part of the Columbus Blue Jacket’s Winter Park, a month-long celebration of the winter season and hockey.
An NHL sized ice rink has been set up in the Arena District at McFerson Commons and will remain there until February 22.
The outdoor rink is equipped with bleacher seating for approximately 500 people and there will be locker rooms as well.
$5 dollars will cover both admission and skate rental.
Winter Park will also feature a large heated tent for weekend entertainment and other festivities.
The opening weekend of the Winter Park festivities will kickoff with the 5th Line 5K Race on Saturday.
