One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash in southwest Franklin County.

It happened around 1:03am on State Route 665, just east of Graessle Road in Pleasant Township. According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, a red, 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was traveling east on SR-665 when it struck a guardrail and electric pole. Investigators say the driver was ejected from the vehicle. The driver was the only person in the car at the time of the crash.

The driver was pronounced dead on the scene by Pleasant Township medics.

Investigators have not released the name of the victim at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
