Andrea Robinson

Andrea Robinson joined the NBC4 team in May 2024 as an anchor and reporter.

Andrea is a central Ohio native. She grew up in the Westerville/Sunbury area and graduated from Big Walnut High School. She continued her education at Ohio University, earning a bachelor’s in journalism and a second bachelor’s in communication studies. During her time as a Bobcat, she became a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority and the Lambda Pi Eta Communication Studies honor society.

Before coming to NBC4, Andrea was the evening weekend anchor at KPLC in Lake Charles, Louisiana. While in the Bayou State, Andrea covered a variety of topics including crime, legislation, Mardi Gras, Hurricane Ida, Tiger Island wildfires and other severe weather events.

During her time in Louisiana, she was recognized for her work as multimedia journalist of the year in 2022 and reporter of the year in 2023.

In September 2023, Andrea married her high school sweetheart in Columbus. The couple shares two dogs: a charcoal lab named Bentley and a mutt named Cincy — or as Andrea calls her, “Scrappy” — who was rescued from the streets of Louisiana.

When not working, Andrea loves to spend her time trying new coffee shops, taking her pups to the dog park, hanging out with her family and friends and, even though it only comes once a year, her most favorite thing to do is attend the Hartford Fair every August.
