David Rees is a digital news reporter for NBC4. He reports on issues impacting Ohio’s LGBTQ+ community, like efforts to outlaw conversion therapy, church regulations limiting expression, calls to repeal the state’s dormant same-sex marriage ban, and debated community Pride events. Rees also aides in covering Statehouse politics, commercial and residential development, small businesses, and Columbus-based corporations.
A central Ohio native, Rees joined NBC4 in 2022 after graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and serving as the editor-in-chief of the university’s student newspaper, The News Record.
