Isabel Cleary

Isabel joined the NBC4 team in June 2023 and is the station’s investigative reporter.

She broke the story that hundreds of thousands of people’s private information was compromised in a ransomware attack against Columbus, despite what city leaders told the public. She continues to push for answers and hold government officials accountable. Isabel reports on stories of significant community impact, including but not limited to corruption and inequality related to housing access.

Before coming to NBC4, Isabel was a reporter and weekend anchor at NBC29 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Isabel graduated from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland.

Isabel has moved around quite a bit; she was born in Maryland, then moved to Colorado, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maryland and Virginia before coming to Ohio. In her free time, she loves to travel, try new food and run Spartan races.
