Mark Feuerborn

Mark Feuerborn served the NBC4 newsroom as the Digital Executive Producer from May 2022 to December 2024, after working as the News Operations Manager at its Kansas sister station, KSNT 27 News, for nearly five years. He covered local news in central Ohio, including the 2024 Columbus ransomware attack and the state’s rollout of recreational marijuana. He also led reporting on Intel’s semiconductor plant expansion in New Albany, and took NBC4 on a trip to the company’s template Arizona factory.

Mark grew up in the suburbs of Kansas City, and studied journalism at Washburn University in Topeka. On campus, he worked for the Washburn Review newspaper as an investigative reporter and later editor in chief. Mark first got into broadcasting as a camera operator for PBS affiliate KTWU11 on various original shows, including their Emmy Award-winning Holiday Vespers program.

Mark’s contributions have earned several awards during his news career. His coverage of a fallen Topeka police officer won 2019 Heart of America Gold and Silver awards from the Kansas City Society of Professional Journalists. Mark played a role in winning 2019 and 2021 best station website awards from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters. He was also part of KSNT’s 2020 Regional Murrow Award-winning team for the station’s coverage of a falsified coffee cup controversy involving a Junction City area police officer.
