COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -Legendary Alumni and seasoned vets in U.S. Figure Skating are in Columbus this week for the National Championship.

Olympic Bronze Medalist and two-time National Champion, Gracie Gold, is among the list of notable figures. She’s not competing. Instead, she’ll be watching from the stands just like thousands of other spectators that plan to attend.

You may run into Gold during the events but there is a guaranteed chance to meet her in person while she’s around. She will discuss her memoir, Outofshapeworthlessloser, at the Columbus Metropolitan Library on January 26 at 1 p.m.

It’s a detailed story about her life on and off the ice.

“It talks about everything from childhood, how I started skating, what those early years were like through the Olympics and then after,” Gold said. “I’ve been pretty public about my mental health struggles and really open about that but there’s still a lot in the book that I’ve never shared before.”

It’s free to attend but registration is required. Visit the Columbus Metropolitan Library’s website to register.
