Time to herd up some support for Gabrielle Phifer. She’s participating in the Dean’s Charity Steer show once again. The competition raises money to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio.
This year, she’s partnered with Adam Zaller, Bailey Jennings and her steer, Gucci. Zaller is the Vice President of Human Resources and Learning at Cardinal Health.
Jennings, 16, has been a member of the 4-H club for the last six years. Her participation in the steer show is deeply personal. She was born at 28 weeks. While she was in the NICU, her family relied on the Ronald McDonald House in Kentucky for three months.
“I am very thankful for that. I don’t remember that time of my life but my mommy said that it was amazing. The RMCH was amazing. The NICU nurses and doctors was amazing,” she said.
“I now get the chance to do what I love and also help a charity that helped myself and family. I am very excited and can’t wait to spread the word about this amazing place, and help future families, and kids never have to be apart in some of the most challenging times of their lives.”
Their team’s name is Gucci’s Haute Herd. If you would like to donate to their team, click here. The competition will take place on July 30 at 4 p.m. during the Ohio State Fair.
