Staff at Nationwide Children’s empower patients to manage long-term conditions

After being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, Kai and his family came to Nationwide Children’s Hospital to learn how to monitor and treat his disease. With the help of dieticians, social workers, diabetes educators and the endocrinology team, Kai and his mom have integrated a diabetes management routine into their daily lives.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — There are a lot of conditions children are diagnosed with that still don’t have a cure at least not yet but doctors across the country and at Nationwide Children’s are working on that.

We encourage you to give to the Light up the Lawn, Light up a Life campaign which helps fund critical research needed to save the lives of young patients like Kai.

When you contribute to the campaign, you can watch the hospital’s front lawn illuminate with your donations through this online live-cam.
