COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Season 20 of “America’s Got Talent” begins Tuesday night on NBC4 and a Columbus resident is slated to show off his unique abilities on the show’s premiere.

Amadou Diallo, a contortionist, will audition in front of judges Mel B, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, executive producer Simon Cowell, host Terry Crews, plus a packed studio audience and millions of viewers at home. Diallo is one of five performers competing for the $1 million prize on the first episode of the season.

“So many acts that have been part of this 20 years have gone on to greatness,” said Mandel in an interview previewing the season. “All across Vegas, wherever you go in the world, people who are doing great have spent a moment with us.”

According to an “AGT” fan page, Diallo, originally from Guinea in West Africa, is part of a two-member act called Lastics Boyz. However, the flexible artist will appear solo on the U.S. talent competition.

The Lastics Boyz TikTok account has more than 400,000 followers and includes hundreds of posts of the pair bending, twisting and manipulating their bodies in seemingly impossible ways.

A Facebook video from a 2022 “Afro Super Talent” Lastics Boyz performance previews what “AGT” fans might expect on Tuesday night’s installment. In the clip, the duo shifts between twisty poses to the rhythm of music while a judge looks on in wide-eyed surprise.

The “America’s Got Talent” Season 20 premiere airs Tuesday, May 27 at 8 p.m. on NBC4.
