OMAHA, NE (WCMH)– Nathan Ray Teply was born December 18, at only 14.99 ounces, and is one of the smallest ever born in Nebraska.
According to KMTV, Nathan is beating all odds, but is still fighting for his life.
“His first picture, I have my pinkie right next his hand and it’s bigger than his whole hand is, so it’s kind of remarkable,” his father, Eric Teply told KMTV.
Nathan was born when his mom was only 24 weeks along, and she was told by doctors she had preeclampsia. The parents decided to have a c-section to possibly save Nathan’s and her life.
“We did what we had to do, and he is still here, he is still fighting,” she said.
But Nathan is a fighter and his parents remain hopeful.
