COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus police have charged 18-year-old Emory “Tommy” Clay with murder in the Christmas day killing of 32-year-old Houng Lamngeun.

Police said Lamngeun was struck by a vehicle in the
area of Whitehead Road and South Richardson Avenue.
When officers found Lamngeun he was suffering from multiple injuries. Medics took him to Mount Carmel West Hospital where he later died.

Witnesses at the scene described the driver’s actions as purposeful and malicious, according to police.
On Saturday police charged Clay with murder. Clay was already being held at the Franklin County Jail on unrelated charges of domestic violence and assault.
Clay will appear in court on Monday.
Lamngeun was a husband and father of six.
