WARREN TWP., OH (WKBN) – Two people are dead following a shooting in the 2800 block of Highland Avenue in Warren Township.

Warren Township Police Chief Don Bishop said shots were fired Saturday around 12:30 p.m. outside of Shorty’s Place. Dispatchers in Lordstown directed Warren Township Police to the scene.

Police said two rival biker gangs, the Brothers Regime and FTW, got into a fight after one gang interrupted the other’s bike run at the bar. There is no word on who started the fight.

The building was shot, along with surrounding cars, one with a shattered back windshield.

At least three people were injured, one was flown to Cleveland Metro.

“Based on what we’ve gathered so far, one was having a bike run, another one stopped in and it appears the people who were already here, and I really don’t want to get into who was already here, started with the other group. They wanted respect or something and the next thing you know we got shots fired. Two of them got shot close range,” Chief Bishop said.

Police now have multiple weapons in their possession.

“Well, they were automatic weapons, you know, hand guns,” Chief Bishop said.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Warren Township and Warren City Police were all on the scene investigating. Chief Bishop said there’s a lot of information to look into and that they need to talk to a prosecutor before information is released on a suspect.

“I’ve never seen anything happen down here. Nothing where cops were called. Just really shocked,” said local neighbor Nick Pawcio.

Chief Bishop agreed that there are normally not many issues in the area.

“And if they call us, we know it’s something important, because they normally don’t call us,” he said. What others are clicking on:
