GRAFTON, MA (WCMH) — Police in Massachusetts are investigating after a 5-year-old girl lead them to her dead mother and injured father.

According to WFXT, the girl was found by police at about 6am, wandering in her pajamas on the side of the road.

When the girl led police to her home, they found the dead mother and the father with a knife in his neck.

A neighbor told WFXT that the little girl appeared to be running for her life from the home.

“All I could think about all day is the picture of that little girl running up the street and what she was running from,” Jackie Costello said. “She stayed on the side of the road running she never went until she darted across the street”

Police said the man was 42-year-old Michael Sugarman and the dead mother was 36-year-old Kelley Sugarman.

Michael Sugarman was hospitalized and is being treated for his injury. According to police Michael Sugarman’s wounds may have been self-inflicted, and he will likely be charged with Kelley Sugarman’s death.What others are clicking on:
