SAN YSIDRO, CA (WCMH) —  Investigators say the accident happened when some adults were trying to move the appliance.

According to KUSI, at about 12:30pm, Saturday, emergency crews responded to the California house after the incident happened.

“He was transported to Rady Children’s Hospital by ambulance Code 10, so that means he was in pretty bad shape,” Fire Capt. Joe Amador said. A code 10 designation is the highest level of trauma in which a patient can be transported.

The boy became trapped underneath the refrigerator after it fell when some adults were attempting to move it, according to investigators.
