600 crypto cases now reported in Central Ohio

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus Public Health announced this morning that the number of Crypto cases in Columbus, Franklin County and Delaware has risen to 600.

The health department previously reported 511 cases last week.

Crypto can cause diarrhea, dehydration, and nausea. It’s spread through infected water or through contact with someone who has it.

Columbus Public Health recommends keeping facilities clean by disinfecting bathrooms, tabletops, desks, diaper-changing areasm toys, food surfaces and high chairs every day.

They say hyrdogen peroxide works best for disinfection, but do not mix peroxide and bleach.

If you suspect you or your child has Crypto, health officials say you should stay out of the pool
