MEMPHIS, TN (WCMH) – A 95-year-old woman from Tennessee was dragged for several feet after someone grabbed her purse outside of a mall Monday.

It happened outside the Oak Court Mall in Memphis, according to WREG.

Surveillance video shows the woman walking along with her cane when a man knocks her to the ground, grabs her purse and drags her along the pavement for six or seven feet.

The Oak Court Mall released a statement to WREG saying, “The safety and well-being of our shoppers is our top priority. Oak Court Mall does not tolerate criminal activity or violence of any kind and is working closely with the Memphis Police Department as they investigate this incident. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Memphis Police Department.”

The victim had several injuries and was hospitalized, but was not in critical condition.
