ASHLAND, OH (WCMH) – The man arrested after a woman’s report she was being held captive is now charged with two counts of murder.

Shawn M. Grate, 40, is charged with two counts of murder and one count of kidnapping, according to Ashland County Prosecuting Attorney Christopher R. Tunnell.

Grate is accused of causing the deaths of Stacey Hicks, also known as Stacey Stanley and a second victim who has not been positively identified.READ MORE: Family says body found in Ashland is that of missing woman Stacey Stanley

He is also accused of holding another woman against her will for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity between September 11 and September 13.

Grate is expected to appear in the Ashland County Court of Common Pleas.
