SUNBURY, Ohio (WCMH)–Students at Big Walnut High School were dismissed early Monday due to a threat issued to the school.

The district superintendent said a threatening note was found in one of the bathrooms around 1:50 p.m.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office said Sunbury police are in charge, and that the sheriff’s office is assisting.

The sheriff’s office said nothing suspicious had been found and that Columbus Fire Department bomb dogs are on the scene.

The school district released the following information at 2:58 p.m.:

“Students who ride buses and walk home were dismissed earlier. Student vehicles will need to remain in the parking lot until they are released by local law enforcement.  Student drivers were instructed to remain at the Intermediate school, unless they had a ride home or were close enough to walk. All after school events are canceled for this evening at the high school and intermediate school.”What others are clicking on:
